Taking it up the 101: Intro

For more than a decade now, I've been a part of the Silicon Valley rat race that takes place every morning and every evening on the stretch of HWY101 between San Jose and San Francisco. I've driven myself, carpooled, ridden the Caltrain as well as my current primary way to work: my employer's corporate shuttle service. Basically, I've tried every possible way to get to work in hopes of finding the magic shortcut around gridlock. My hope is that this blog will not only act as a guide for other commuters -- because I've got some veteran moves that you all could learn from -- but also as an outlet to release the self-inflicted frustration I experience on a daily basis.
